Awakening Students to Ones Inner Self

Children dos experience stress -- especially these days -- and stress management is a skill they’ll use throughout their lives. One important stress reliever to teach children of all ages that can help them deal with everything from uncomfortable feelings to tantrums, is breathing exercises. It helps them stop, relax, and refocus. Other strategies you can effectively teach your children include drawing pictures that express intense feelings (a precurser to journaling), talking about problems with a trusted friend or adult, playing with and caring for pets, participating in sports or other forms of exercise, and just asking for a hug when one is needed.

Also, it’s important to teach children skills like optimistic thinking, and to trust in themselves and in the world. Finally, I think it’s important for today's parents to remember that even our children (especially our children) need some 'down time' to explore their interests and the world, to learn more about themselves, to form friendships, and to just be children. All of these things can help us do what all parents strive to do: raise children who grow into happy and healthy adults.

It was very difficult to even think of violence amongst school students in ancient days and it was never a problem in the past. As the science showed its fast pace of progress and technological advancement, very fast change at social and family levels, increasing role of media specially Television and Radio and Cinema and do now internet have exposed the young minds to the abuses, problems, stresses, intolerance, violence, hatred, jealous, competition etc. there is growing inner poverty an outer riches in the modern society. This duality of inner poverty and outer riches has disintegrated the modern man resulting in confused attitude and behavior, action and movement in occupation, profession, and family as well. In addition, younger minds when exposed to this disintegration manifested by their parents, teachers, neighbors, people everywhere, their subconscious mind stores all these impressions out of ignorance even when there is much social and ethical pressures on them. And then grows the discontent, conflicts, problems, worries in real situations when they go to school for learning, talk and live with parents, love with colleagues, enjoy leisure with friends while watching movies, working online, reading books an news related to violence, hatred, killings etc. there is another very important factor as well that is absence of love, harmony, peace, happiness in the society, with parents, school teachers. The world appears to the more or less innocent mind as rule of jungle where there is dominance of violence, hatred, competition, anger etc. There is nether factor of repetition in the material world for progress and advancement in life so they also feel that repetition of violence, anger, aggressiveness etc may help them to achieve what they want with easy and speedily.
