A Yoga and Spiritual Master

Born on 29th December, 1958 in Delhi, India, Acharya Girish Jha is the guiding spirit of more than 60,000 people worldwide. His father Late Dr.Krishna Chandra Jha was a renowned Sanskrit Scholar and was awarded by Ex-President of India Dr. Fakkrudddin Ali Ahmad for his works on Tripurarahsyam. His Maternal Grandfather Dr Naresh Jha Shastri is one of the ten great scholars of Indian Philosophy and Sanskrit and has authored over 30 books.

Acharya Girish Jha is married to Prerna Jha, a family endowed with deep faith in spirituality. Her maternal grandfather is now a monk in the order of Sarswati. Acharya Girish Jha and Prerna Jha are blessed with two children. Son, Saiddarth is studying Engineering course from Jaipur and daughter, Bhavya Jha is studying in 9th Standard in an International School in Delhi.

Acharya Girish Jha’s ardent love for ancient wisdoms and modern science brought together one message for modern man – live, move and act in SELF (Spiritual Excellence) and manifest personal, professional, social Excellence.

His simple, logical, intuitive interpretation of ancient wisdoms supported by fundamental understanding of modern science is aimed at Health, Harmony and Happiness; Peace, Prosperity and Success. The age old wisdoms find a New Paradigm of Living that discovers the Self for living a life beyond, stress, sufferings and problems.

He inspires every one who approach him with simple, logical and easy saying,” all human being are here on earth to become a better person. In order to become better person, you need to discover within that centre which will guide you, inspire you and work for you to excel in personal, professional, social and spiritual lives.” He further says,” It is possible by first awakening the centre within, allowing it to manifest outside in body, life and mind, work for your life at all time and bring Peace, prosperity and Success.”

“To become a better person does not mean to work through mind, create an ideal, practice the same in life but discover a centre beyond mind which even controls the mind. This centre within is immutable, infinite, eternal and permanent which is not guided, dictated by ego, past, future, desires, cravings. This essential nature of this centre is to Live, Move and Act in Love, Energy, Awareness and Peace (LEAP) at all time in life, stands apart the Apparent self i.e. body, material life, mind and ego but uses all of them as instruments for bringing about Personal, professional, Social and Spiritual (PPSS) Excellence; Peace, Prosperity and Success (PPS); and Material and Spiritual Riches (MSR).” He explains the philosophy and practice of becoming a Better Person.

Acharya Girish Jha further says,” Living, Moving and Acting with/in that centre makes you a better husband/wife, better teacher/student, parents/children, professionals, engineers and doctors in life. This is very much missing in Modern life as man is qualitatively the same as that of man lived hundreds of years ago. The qualitative transformation is required that will transform the individual and the material world. this can be easily done by applying the principles of ancient wisdoms of Yoga, Nature Cure, Ayurveda, allied sciences supported by modern science , provided every branch of knowledge is based upon wisdom, directed to evolve human race constantly, dropping all limitations and preferences and prejudices inherent in them and in men who practice them.”

After completing his schooling in the year 1975 he went on to do his Bachelor of Science from Delhi University, he acquired formal education in Yoga from Vishwayatan Yogashram, an aided yoga institution under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resources and Development (HRD), India though his journey in the world of spirituality had begun much before. His deep interest in Yoga and Allied Sciences led him to the study of related subjects and to acquire practical knowledge about their applications. These endeavors include certificate courses in Acupressure and Magnet therapy from Sri Aurobindo Educational Society, New Delhi, India and Three years Diploma in Naturopathy from All India Nature Cure Foundation, Delhi. After completing M.Sc. in Science of Living, Yoga and Meditation, at present he is pursuing his Doctorate Degree from Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar , the subject for his thesis being “Yoga and Modern Psychology: A Comparative Review”.
